SUMMARY: The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising, and mission-driven events. This role serves as a key liaison between the organization, community partners, donors, and event participants to ensure exceptional experiences that advance the organization's mission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-oriented, and passionate about building community engagement through meaningful and successful fundraising and cultivation events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Planning and Coordination
Plan, organize, and execute fundraising & cultivation events, community outreach activities, and volunteer appreciation events.
Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, logistics, and implementation plans.
Actively solicit event sponsorships and maintain a portfolio of event sponsors
Coordinate venues, vendors, entertainment, décor, equipment rentals, permits, and event materials.
Collaborate with staff, sponsors, donors, and community partners to ensure successful event execution.
Recruit and manage event committees and volunteers.
Manage silent and live auctions
Oversee on-site event operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Evaluate event outcomes and prepare post-event reports with recommendations for improvement.
Communications & Marketing Support
Collaborate with the Director of Information Systems and Creative Design and Director of Communications to support the promotion of organizational events and fundraising campaigns.
Provide timely event details to assist in the development of marketing and communications materials.
Coordinate with the Director of Communication to ensure event messaging, promotional timelines, and outreach efforts are aligned with organizational goals and branding standards.
Assist in gathering event content, including photos, videos, volunteer stories, testimonials, and participant feedback, for organizational communications, social media, donor engagement, and campaigns.
Budget & Administrative Management
Maintain event records, calendars, contracts, reports, and constituent records in databases.
Track event revenue, sponsorships, and expenses.
Prepare reports on event attendance and engagement metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must possess experience in event coordination, volunteer management, community engagement, or nonprofit program support, with the ability to organize and execute multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. A bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Public Relations, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Family Engagement Coordinator reports to the Children’s Beach House Youth Development Program Director. The Family Engagement Coordinator is responsible for children and families participating in the Youth Development Program. In addition, the Family Engagement Coordinator will collaborate with other CBH staff to support the camp program. This is a twelve-month, full-time position.
The Family Engagement Coordinator is charged with managing the program in accordance with Board Policy and within the limits of federal, state, and local laws. The Family Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the agency’s plan, mission, vision, and values throughout the organization while developing a positive public image of the organization based on the same. The Family Engagement Coordinator is expected to meet or exceed all requirements of applicable regulatory agencies or organizations. The Family Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing partnerships with like-minded agencies in the community.
The successful candidate shall be familiar with the Milton community, and be a leader, guide, and participant in this educational journey as the CBH seeks to establish a best practices model of positive youth development in the State of Delaware.

POSITION TITLE: Camp Counselor, Youth Development Program
POSITION SUMMARY: The Camp Counselor reports to the Camp Coordinator. The Camp Counselor is responsible for the care and supervision of all children, youth, and camp activities. Camp counselors guide and ensure the safety of children as they engage in camp activities. They assist in the activity planning process, receive special training to fully support children, and lead them as they participate in camp events.
