Who We Serve
Lydia Chichester du Pont founded Children's Beach House in 1936 to provide a safe, supportive, and healing environment for under-resourced children with disabilities. Today we carry out her mission in the following ways.
Margaret H. Rollins Child Development Center
The Rollins Center provides three- and four-year-olds with speech and language delays a language-rich environment alongside their typically developing peers. Purchase of Care Plus state subsidies make this essential early childhood education accessible to all families.
Youth Development Program Statewide
YDP Statewide offers supportive resources, educational opportunities, and lifelong community to under-resourced children ages 7–18 with speech and language delays and disabilities. At CBH, these kids are centered and celebrated, and their families are supported in a holistic approach to healthy development.
Youth Development Program Afterschool
YDP Afterschool offers children in grades 1–5 in Milton, Delaware, a safe space to gather, learn, and grow after classes end. YDP Afterschool also offers summer day camps and accepts Purchase of Care state subsidies for those who qualify, making childcare accessible to the working families who need it most.
